Alia Bhatt has been sharing several pictures on her Instagram account ever since the lockdown began. From the balcony picture clicked by Ranbir Kapoor that sparked rumours of them locked in together during quarantine, to sharing about what she has been up to, Alia has been keeping her fans updated. Now, her latest Instagram post is an adorable picture of her, with her face resting on the table. This picture has reminded Netizens of Deepika Padukone-Ranbir Kapoor’s iconic breakup scene in Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha.
If you’ve watched Tamasha, Deepika and Ranbir’s emotional meltdown at a café was one of the scenes that would have been etched in your memory. It was goosebumps-inducing, with brilliant and convincing performances by both actors. Some of you must also remember it as the scene before the superhit song, ‘Agar Tum Saath Ho’ plays, and Deepika pleads with Ranbir to not leave her. The scene also shows Ranbir and Deepika with their faces on the table, not unlike the one Alia Bhatt has shared. A few of Alia’s fans were quick to point out the similarities.

Speaking of the breakup scene between Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in Tamasha, Imtiaz Ali, while speaking to &Pictures had revealed that he didn’t have to brief them for the scene, or to cry and shout, it came out naturally from both of them. “I believe Ranbir and Deepika must have experienced such situations in their lives and hence they invested those emotions in the scene which made it look smooth,” he said.
